o my god! STRESS leads to Cancer, Depression, Heart diseases, Panic attacks, Diabetes & Suicides!!

Few days ago my best friend’s cousin was diagnosed with Cancer. I started searching for the causes and found out something shocking… something which is ignored by us and which has been accepted as a part of daily life, can kill us!!!

S T R E S S.  Also known as Tension in few countries.

Sometime it may seem there’s nothing you can do about your stress level. There will never be more hours in the day, your career/family responsibilities will always be demanding, the bills aren’t going to stop coming, exams will always be around the corner for students…
But you have a lot more control than you might think and managing stress is all about taking charge: taking charge of your thoughts, your emotions, your schedule, your environment, and the way you deal with problems. Our ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation and fun.

It starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life. Your true sources of stress aren’t always obvious, and it’s easy to overlook your own stress-inducing thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Become aware of your habits, attitude, and excuses.

Do you define stress as an integral part of your work or home life or as a part of your personality. Have you accepted it as a part of Your daily life? Do you blame your stress on other people or outside events?

Until you accept responsibility for the role you play in creating or maintaining it, your stress level will remain outside your control.
Unhealthy ways of coping with stress, which may temporarily reduce stress, but they cause more damage in the long run, include –
* Smoking (affects finances too)
* Drinking too much alcohol (affects finances too)
* Overeating or under-eating
* Spending hours in front of the TV/computer/internet/games
* Withdrawing from friends, family, and activities
* Using pills or drugs to relax
* Procrastinating
* Filling up every minute of the day to avoid facing problems
* Taking out your stress on others (angry outbursts, physical violence)

I’m so glad that you are making this a major point, because a lot of us don’t know how stress causes various illnesses mentally and physically.(Now I’m no doctor, but just a little research even I understand now)Mentally Maddy it can make us behave as a very odd person, a sensitive person. Crazy behaviors, and it is not an easy task to recognize the character, and finally stress sometimes leads to death. Thanks for insight thought I drop a few tips. Indeed, stress/tension is a major cause of most fatal diseases/disorders. We all encounter it, we all have our own ways of dealing with it, but one thing I personally believe is that if we can develop a philosophy of Balance within ourselves, we can cope better in stressful situations, if indeed they do occur.
